Tooth Extractions is a common dental treatment for tooth removal from the mouth. This is usually used as a treatment to fix a severe decayed or irreparable tooth if there’s too much damage for the tooth to be repaired from filling, crown, or other treatment. However, a teeth extraction may be used for another purpose such as creating space for orthodontic braces, like conventional braces. One should consider invisible braces to avoid tooth extraction.
A non-surgical extraction is performed on a tooth that is visible in the mouth, which can be categorised as a simple extraction. A local anaesthetic will first be applied and the dentist will be using dental forceps to loosen and remove the tooth.
A surgical extraction involved an incision (cut) into your gum to remove teeth that cannot be easily accessed or seen from the mouth. It requires a more complex procedure if your tooth is severely broken off at the gum line or if it is impacted by another tooth.
